We saw Jamie’s Route 66 getting off the highway to go to a different bar, and I immediately noticed the packed parking lot and bright lights outside on a Monday. I told my boyfriend, well, if the bar we’re going to sucks, we can always go there. That’s exactly what we ended up doing and it was the best decision we could’ve made. Jamie was behind the bar and was so friendly, welcoming, and social. We were coming from a long drive, and she recommended the pizza which hit the spot. Everyone knows her by name, and she knows everyone’s names too. She heard we were from Chicago and immediately introduced us to the people next to us who had Chicago connections.
